That Poetry Thing is hosting a special Canberra Tree Week poetry reading (not in their usual format) and have invited poets in the 'Kindred Trees' - Canberra trees and poetry project - to read. Invited poets will read their own poem and one by another poet. We also have an open mic so bring along your tree themed poems please! The 'Kindred Trees' website will be launched on the night. This is a project that will be developed over the next decade to connect local trees and poets and inspire us all. This second phase of the project is supported by ACT Government. Local poets sharing tree love are Kathy Kituai, Sue Donnelly, Audrey McCormick, Paul Collis, Sarah Rice, and Judith Nangala Crispin with new work.
