About Melinda Smith

Prime Minister's Literary Award winning poet Melinda Smith lives and works on unceded Ngunnawal, Ngambri and Ngarigo country and is the author of eight books. In addition to successfully gaining multiple arts grants for her own work, Melinda was a peer assessor for the Australia Council Literature Board from 2017-2020. She has also assessed grants and judged writing prizes (across many literary genres) for artsACT, The Australia Institute, The Queensland Writers’ Centre, the Hunter Writers’ Centre and MARION ACT.
