MASTERCLASS Pitch to Publisher
ONLINE with JULIA CARLOMAGNO
over 2 consecutive Saturdays, 9 + 16 SEPTEMBER
In the first session, Julia will be taking participants through how to craft a pitch. They will have the opportunity to deliver their pitch and receive feedback from our instructor and the group in the second session. Participants should ideally come prepared to share (and be supportive towards others).
About Julia Carlomagno
Julia Carlomagno is the publisher & director at Monash University Publishing. She has been associate publisher/managing editor at Black Inc. and senior editor at Scribe. She has also worked at Penguin and Macmillan, and as deputy editor of Australian Foreign Affairs. Julia is the recipient of two national editing awards, the Barbara Ramsden Award and the Rosanne Fitzgibbon Award for Editorial Excellence. She has a master in publishing, taught editing at RMIT and has judged several literary prizes. Authors she has worked with include Anna Krien, Alice Pung, Kate Holden and Briohny Doyle.

Depending on time constraints, there may be space to discuss contracts, royalties and rights.
