The Annual ACT Writing & Publishing Awards aim to recognise, reward and promote writing by ACT region authors that has been self-published or published by small publishers.
The aim of these awards is to recognise, reward and promote writing by ACT region authors that has been self-published or published by small publishers (such as ANU Press, Finlay Lloyd, Recent Work Press etc). Books published by nonprofit organisations (such as the AIATSIS Aboriginal Studies Press, CSIRO, National Library of Australia, National Museum of Australia etc) which publish books as an adjunct to their main public purpose are also eligible for the Awards.
