The aim of the Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize is both to celebrate the best of new short fiction and to give winners the most visibility possible for their writing.

Held in partnership with Scribe Publications, these publishing intensive mentorships provide a unique opportunity for up to four writers developing exceptional new work. The 2022 program is looking for literary fiction submissions.

The ACT Writer-in-Residence is a joint initiative of the ACT Writers Centre and UNSW Canberra, with further funding support from the Copyright Agency.
