How does Ben’s post mortem illuminate Australia’s political culture right now, and how does it impact on the referendum campaigns? Let’s get our house in order—and prepare for what comes next. It’s going to be a big year.
Esther Anatolitis is Editor of Meanjin and one of Australia’s leading advocates for arts and culture. Her creative consultancy Test Pattern has worked extensively with key Canberra arts organisations, as well as developing the ten-year strategy for Kingston Arts Precinct. Esther is Hon A/Prof at RMIT School of Art and a member of the National Gallery of Australia Governing Council.
Dr Ben Eltham is an Australian writer, journalist, researcher, creative producer and social commentator. He lectures in Media and Communications at Monash University’s School of Media, Film and Journalism, and his primary research interest is Australia’s public policy culture. A prolific writer, his latest essay for Meanjin is ‘A Miracle Corrupted: The Downfall of an Unloved Prime Minister’.
Amy Remeikis is a political reporter for Guardian Australia and helms its popular Politics Live blog. She is a regular contributor to ABC’s Insiders, The Drum and radio, as well as Network 10’s The Project. Amy is the author of the best-selling On Reckoning. Meanjin online recently published her piece ‘This Is About the Nation’s Soul’.
