Transit Lounge is an independent literary publishing company founded by Barry Scott and Tess Rice. The press has a strong interest in quality writing, in particular fiction, that engages with the world and a diverse Australia.
Transit Lounge books have won awards including the Miles Franklin, the Barbara Jefferis and have been shortlisted for the Stella Prize, Prime Minister’s Literary Awards and many State awards. In 2025 Transit Lounge will celebrate twenty years of publishing.
