Projects Descriptions and Aims

The University of Canberra (UC) is partnering with artsACT to host the Creative Recovery and Resilience Forum. The Creative Recovery and Resilience Forum is a platform for exploring themes, issues and opportunities for the ACT creative sector relating to recovery and resilience. The Forum is also a platform for the projects in the artsACT Creative Recovery and Resilience Program.

The Forum supports the ACT creative sector by seeking to strengthen sector networks and build capacity through delivering public activities that enable dialogue, knowledge exchange and the sharing of practices. The Forum will adopt a creative-led approach to the delivery of its nine activities.

About the Opportunity

The Creative Recovery and Resilience Forum will host (at least one) Writer-in-Residence whose work will reflect on the themes and concerns emerging from Forum activities.

The appointed Writer-in-Residence has two key roles in the project:

  1. Publishing nine written pieces that draw on their experiences as a participant-observer of the Forum events, and as a writer with a distinctive voice.

  2. To work with the UC team, offering input into the design and delivery of Forum activities.

The role will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to learn about developing and reflecting on innovative cultural events, honing skills in professional writing.

The appointed Forum Writer-in-Residence will work closely with the Forum team and will embrace our ethical approach to events, with the capacity to deliver on principles of access, inclusion, sustainability, and cultural safety.
