Whispering Death by Trish Skehan is the story of the Australian-built Beaufighters, their pilots and remarkable feats in World War II. In this book, Patricia includes exclusive interviews with 93 Beaufighter Attack Squadron members. None are alive today. She also includes never-seen-before primary materials – war propaganda leaflets, diary entries and war journals – that were given to her by these ex-WW2 pilots. The book recalls the squadron’s involvement in Sandakan and Borneo war operations. It also follows the women who worked as codebreakers, helping Allied forces to victory in the Coral and Bismarck Sea battles.
