US MOB Call for First Nations Artists

 

Calling all Australian First Nations Artists

Us Mob Writers are looking for First Nations artwork to cover a number of their chapbooks that speak to several themes. The artwork can include one or more of these themes.

Categories include:
- Family
- Memory
- Spirituality
- Wiradjuri Language
- Story
- Healing
- The Elements (fire, water, earth, air)

Eligibility to enter:
Must identify and be accepted by the community as having Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
Open to residents living in Canberra or surrounding areas, such as Queanbeyan, Murrumbateman and Hall.
A limit of 2 entries per person; however only 1 selected per artist

Prize includes:
Each of the winning artists will receive $100. Selected artwork will be used for the cover of one chapbook. The winning artists will each receive one signed copy for the specific chapbook your artwork has been selected for. The winning artists’ name, Nation, artwork title and story will be included inside the book.

Competition closes: Friday 3rd December 2021
Winners announced: Friday 10th December 2021
