Since Sarah Day’s first book in 1987, her works have received a number of awards including the Anne Elder and the Queensland Premier’s Awards and Michel Wesley Wright Prizes, and have been shortlisted for the NSW, Tasmanian Premier’s, and Prime Minister’s Literary Awards. She has taught creative writing to year 12 students over the past twenty years, has collaborated with musicians, and judged national poetry, fiction, and nature-writing competitions. Her latest collection is Slack Tide (Pitt Street Poetry, 2022). She lives in Hobart.

Martin Langford has published eight books of poetry, the most recent of which is The Boy from the War Veterans’ Home (Puncher and Wattmann, 2022). He was co-editor, with J. Beveridge, J.Johnson and D. Musgrave, of Contemporary Australian Poetry (2016), and has reviewed and written articles about poetry for a wide range of journals, writing poetry reviews and articles for Meanjin since 2011. He has had a long-term involvement in the organization of poetry events, having directed three Australian Poetry Festivals (2001, 2004, 2006), and was a founding Board member of Australian Poetry Ltd, of which he was Chair 2019-2020. An invitee at several international festivals, including Trois Rivières, Medellin, Granada and Struga, his work has been translated into French, Chinese, Italian, Spanish and Arabic.
