Yleia Mariano (they/them) is a Filipino poet, raised on Dharawal country and currently based on Ngunnawal country. Making their debut on the slam poetry stage in June 2022 at the Canberra Slam, they went on to become the Inaugural Canberra Slam Champion in November. Yleia has performed and had their poetry featured at the Poetic City Festival and Red Room’s ACT Poetry Month Showcase. They were also one of the ACT representatives at the 2023 Australian Poetry Slam Finals. Yleia is currently the co-host of the Canberra Slam and can probably be found writing about home (again).

Jacqueline Collier is an aspiring young writer and poet from Western Australia and is currently a languages student at the ANU. She has her own poetry blog featuring a growing portfolio of work (JacquelineCollier.blog), and has had her work published in local newspapers. She has started writing show reviews for the Canberra Youth Theatre, and is currently developing an original script. She is passionate about the performance of poetry and the power of sound. Her poetry aims to capture a feeling.
