Merri Andrew is a writer living on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country in Canberra. She is a member of the organising group for That Poetry Thing That Is On Every Monday At Smith's. Her debut poetry chapbook Holds Up When Shattered was published by Kith Books in 2024 and launched at Smith's. As a prose writer, she has published short stories, most recently 'Its Own Richness', which appears in Never Say Die, the Canberra Speculative Fiction Guild's 2025 anthology. Kathy Kituai: Poet, diarist has been an assistant editor for The Institute of PNG Studies, creative editor for Muse and tanka editor for Cattails, Kathy has also facilitated creative writing courses in Scotland, SA, NSW, and ACT since 1990, and is published in Japan,UK, USA, Canada, India, New Zealand, PNG and Australia. A host for Poetry at Manning Clarke House, she founded and facilitated Limestone Tanka Poets (10 years), received ARTS ACT Funding (twice), and two Canberra Critic awards. The Art of Catching Jam Before it Burns, (new and selected poetry, 1992 --- 2023) is her latest publication.
