Our Family Zoo, illustrated by A.Yi is a rhyming adventure bursting with animals, energy and a big surprise! There’ll be a reading of the book, as well as some animal-themed food, festivities and fun.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Maura Pierlot is an international award-winning author, playwright, and filmmaker who moves fluidly between forms—poetry, short stories, microfiction, personal essays, memoir, and genre-blending work—for readers of all ages. At the heart of her writing is a lifelong fascination with the questions that define us: who we are, where do we belong and why are we here?
The author of five published picture books and three young adult titles, Maura is the creator of Fragments, a groundbreaking multi-format work (stage play, YA novella, web series) that inspired the rap song/music video, Stay! by Australian artist, The Profit.
Maura is the founder of The Book Bench Project and a qualified art therapist with a PhD in philosophy, specialising in ethics. When she’s not writing or visiting schools, Maura splits her time between Canberra and her family’s avocado and walnut farm on the NSW south coast.
