Ginsights with Natasha Lester

6-8pm Friday 4 April

On Friday 4 April from 6 – 8 pm Big River Distilling Co and paperchain bookstore will host Ginsights with guest author Natasha Lester, whose novels have been translated into many different languages and are published all around the world.

Natasha Lester is based in Perth and has included Ginsights in her tour to launch her new release The Mademoiselle Alliance, a novel based on the true story of one of history's unsung heroes: Marie-Madeleine Fourcade, the only woman to lead a resistance network in France in WWII. Her story is one of epic love, tragic loss and magnificent leadership.

Natasha is well known for her historical fiction inspired by the true but often little-known stories of extraordinary women, including The Disappearance of Astrid Briccard, The Three Lives of Alix St Pierre and The Riviera House. Natasha has also published two contemporary novels including What is Left over, After that won the Hungerford Award.

We will be serving a signature cocktail in honour of Natasha’s visit – a French 75 featuring Big River Dry Gin and an Australian sparkling wine.

All are welcome to come along to join this informal reader/writer conversation at Big River, 1 Dairy Road Fyshwick. Use Entry 2 off Dairy Road and park in carpark P4.

Bookings required tickets $10 per person.
