Ginsights: Ayesha Inoon

Ginsights with Ayesha Inoon

6-8pm Thursday 7 March

On Thursday 7 March, from 6-8 pm, Big River Distilling Co and Dymocks Canberra will co-host Ginsights with guest author Ayesha Inoon.

Ayesha writes from a unique cultural perspective – she was born in Colombo in Sri Lanka, has travelled widely, worked as a journalist and emigrated to Australia in 2013.

At Ginsights we will explore Ayesha’s debut novel Untethered, winner of the 2022 ASA/HQ Commercial Fiction Prize. This novel is set in Sri Lanka and Canberra, explores the themes of loss and liberation, and is partly based on Ayesha’s experiences as an immigrant Muslim woman. Our Dymocks colleagues have said “Ayesha Inoon's novel weaves the threads of family, culture and tradition together with the uncertainty and freedom of starting anew to create a complex tapestry of identity, resilience and hope.”
