Welcome to the next in Geoff Page’s long-running series of monthly poetry readings, featuring Debbie Lim and Paul Hetherington.

Debbie Lim grew up in northern Sydney where she currently lives on Darramuragal land. Her poems have appeared regularly in the Best Australian Poems series by Black Inc and in Contemporary Asian Australian Poets by Puncher & Wattmann, among various other anthologies. Recent work appears in journals including HEAT, Meanjin, Griffith Review, Island and Cordite. She received the Bruce Dawe National Poetry Prize 2022 and was shortlisted for the Peter Porter Poetry Prize 2022. Her chapbook is Beastly Eye published by Vagabond Press and her debut full-length collection Bathypelagia was published in 2025 by Cordite Books.

Paul Hetherington has published 18 full-length poetry and prose poetry collections—including Sleeplessness (Pierian Springs Press, 2023) and Ragged Disclosures (Recent Work Press, 2022). His Collected Poems 1990–2022 (PSP) is due to be released in May. His poetry has won or been nominated for various national and international awards and competitions, and he won the inaugural 2024 The Marion Halligan Award and the 2021 Bruce Dawe National Poetry Prize. He is joint founding editor of the international online journal Axon: Creative Explorations. With Cassandra Atherton he co-authored the scholarly book, Prose Poetry: An Introduction (Princeton UP, 2020) and co-edited the Anthology of Australian Prose Poetry (Melbourne UP, 2020)
