Nigel Featherstone is the author of Bodies of Men, which was longlisted for the 2020 ARA Historical Novel Prize, Highly Commended for the 2020 ACT Book of the Year, shortlisted in the 2019 Queensland Literary Awards, and received a 2019 Canberra Critics Circle Award. Nigel lives on the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales and spends considerable time in Canberra, the national capital of Australia. His new novel My Heart is a Little Wild Thing was released in early 2022.
Dr Lee Kofman is a Russian-born, Israeli-Australian novelist, short story writer, essayist, memoirist and sometimes-poet. Her short works have been published in Australia, Scotland, the UK, Israel, USA and Canada. She is the author of three fiction books (published in Israel in Hebrew) and three memoirs, her most recent being The Writer Laid Bare, about writing and emotional honesty.
Karen Viggers is a wildlife veterinarian who has worked with native animals in many remote parts of Australia from the Kimberley to Antarctica. She is an award-winning, internationally bestselling author of The Stranding, The Lightkeeper’s Wife, The Grass Castle and The Orchardist’s Daughter. Her novels have been translated into several languages. Karen regularly reviews works of literature for The Australian, The Canberra Times and Nine.
Sulari Gentill is the author of the multi-award-winning Rowland Sinclair Mysteries, a series of (currently) ten historical crime novels set in 1930s Australia. Under the name S. D. Gentill, she wrote The Hero Trilogy, a fantasy adventure series based on the myths and legends of the ancient world. Her widely praised standalone novel, Crossing the Lines, won the Ned Kelly Award for Best Crime Novel. Most recently, Sulari was awarded a Copyright Agency Cultural Fund Fellowship for The Woman in the Library.
Suzanne Leal is the author of novels The Deceptions, The Teacher’s Secret and Border Street. Suzanne chairs the fiction and poetry panel for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards. She is a lawyer experienced in child protection, criminal law and refugee law, and a senior member of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
