The ACT Notable Awards is the first physical event held by ACT Writers in 2 years. This event is designed to showcase the writing talent of the ACT region as well as to celebrate ACT region writers in a professional and formal manner – the kind of recognition this talent and art form deserves.
We are delighted to invite you to attend the inaugural ACT Notable Awards on Friday 29 July at Canberra Contemporary Art Space (CCAS) from 5.30-7.30pm.
The inaugural Notables Awards event will be the first physical event held by ACT Writers in two years. This event will showcase the writing talent of the ACT region as well as celebrate the tenacity of ACT region writers in a professional and formal manner – the kind of recognition this talent and art form deserves.
This year sees ACT Writers host an entirely new awards format in a special initiative designed to celebrate what our writers have overcome in during 2020 and 2021, and to showcase some of the brilliant works that have come from authors of the ACT and its surrounds in that time.
The ACT Notable Awards will recognise books published by ACT-region authors in 2020 and 2021 in the categories of fiction, nonfiction, poetry and children’s books. This will be an event for celebration and a wonderful opportunity to connect and network with our industry.
We will also be launching our new strategic vision for the organisation on the night.
