Rhythm and Risk

We were so unbelievably spoiled to have Omar Musa share stories of his creative process with us at Rhythm and Risk: Writing Into the Storm on 17 May. The value of following one’s creative impulses cannot be underestimated. From his beginnings in poetry and performance in his hometown, Queanbeyan; to his exploration of wood carving in Malaysian Borneo
— we went on a journey with Omar Musa through his growth as an artist.

Omar Musa also generously shared tracks from his new album, The Fullness, with us through an electrifying performance.

Special thanks to the National Film and Sound Archive and Harry Hartog ANU for supporting us during the event; and to the audience for your thoughtful questions and radiant presence. We cannot thank you enough for being part of this beautiful evening.
