Finding Beauty Shortlist


Thank you so much to everyone who entered this year’s Awards. We are honoured to announce that the poets shortlisted for the inaugural Finding Beauty Poetry Prize are: Alisha Brown, Cate Furey, Annie O'Connell, and Sara Pronger! For this inaugural prize, Roger’s family has chosen the theme Finding Beauty – in Nature.

SHORTLISTED WORKS

This very special prize has been established in memory of Roger Green, an environmental advocate, writer and editor, lover of poetry, and thinker. Roger believed that beauty had the power to alleviate fear and hardship, and to provide hope and inspiration.

MARION gratefully acknowledges the generous support of Roger Green’s family, whose contribution has made this inaugural prize possible. Their support will provide invaluable encouragement to emerging poets in the ACT region, fostering new voices and perspectives in Australian poetry.

The winners will be announced at the ACT Literary Awards on 3 July at The Shine Dome.
