ACT Writers is seeking an experienced, strategic and visionary Chief Executive Officer to build on and advance the ACT Writers Centre’s mission, purpose and objectives. For 25 years, the ACT Writers Centre has been developing writers and their work, focusing on craft and professional practice over a creative lifetime.
As the key arts organisation for writing-based culture in the ACT, the Centre strives to build an innovative, vibrant and sustainable sector by providing opportunities for writers and developing beneficial collaborations.
The ACT Writers Centre CEO is responsible for the overall management and operations of the Centre, with a focus on developing and delivering a strong artistic program which develops ACT writers and their work; increasing the financial stability and sustainability of the organisation; managing a small but dynamic team of professional arts workers; and ensuring our programs and advocacy serve all members of the writing community in the ACT region, including those who may face barriers to accessing our services.
