We’re back, and we’re thrilled to welcome 2025 – a year that marks our 30th Anniversary! This milestone celebrates three decades of remarkable creativity, change, diversity, and growth in our sector and region. Throughout the year, we’ll be reflecting on our organisation’s history, celebrating our present, and looking ahead to the future.

To all our members – whether you’ve been with us since the very beginning or joined along the way – thank you for being part of this journey. Your connection means so much to us, and we’d love to hear from you. Do you have special memories from events or programs? Photos or stories that capture the journey of our community? We’d love for you to share them with us as we highlight key moments and celebrate together throughout the year.

We’re also excited to share what’s ahead in this milestone year. Come Write returns in March, offering new opportunities to connect, create, and be inspired in person. HIDDEN NERVE, our beloved series, is back with a revamped format, specially redesigned for this year, and there is much more to come throughout 2025. Submissions for our Annual Book Awards open in late February, so if you’re the author of a book from our region, keep an eye out for your chance to enter.
This year, we’ll be joined by some incredible authors and friends, including Jeff Apter, Lisa Fuller, Irma Gold, Benjamin Law, Mirandi Riwoe and Inga Simpson – with more to come! It’s going to be an exciting year, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you all.
